Kolar: “The Ruling Government releases funds no matter how much the Ruling Party MLAs ask for. However, the Opposition MLAs are not in tears and even if they shed blood, the funds will not be released,” alleged MLA Roopakala.

She was speaking after inspecting the double road asphalting work near BEML Factory on the outskirts of the City. “Even if we ask the Government for everything, they don’t even bother to release the grant,” she said and regretted that it was not easy to bring in grants through this Government. In such a situation, only one public sector BEML Enterprise in the Constituency has defaulted on tax dues of around Rs. 45 Crore for 20 to 25 years and has gone to Court asking for payment.

“Even though the Court gave the verdict in our favour and ordered them to pay the tax, they defied the court’s order,” she added.
