Kanakapura: KPCC Chief DK Shivakumar was seen enjoying a refreshing swim in River Cauveri, in Kanapura on Sunday evening.
Far away from the political arena, Shivakumar relived his childhod memories and posted some pictures on Facebook, which has gone viral.
“On Sunday, at 4.30 PM, after a long gap of 40 years, I swam in the river Cauvery at my village near Sangama. I used to swim and fish at the same place with my father during my school and college days,” he posted on Facebook and added that after the ‘Surya Grahana’ (solar eclipse) ended, he offered prayers at a temple nearby.
He was acccompanied by his wife on this pilgrimage.
While DKShi was recently appointed as the KPCC Chief, he is yet to formally take charge. However, DKShi is also in a celebratory mood as wedding bells are going to ring soon for his daughter Aishwarya, who recently got engaged to Amartya Hegde, son of coffee baron Late VG Siddhartha, proprietor of Cafe Coffee Day.
