Bengaluru: Following the objections raised by former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to Madhusudan Mistry report on the appointment of the new president for Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), the All India Congress Committee (AICC) is likely to send another observer to the state.
According to the sources, on Saturday night, party state incharge KC Venugopal informed the senior leaders that another leader is visiting the state soon and the new appointments will be done only after he submits his report.
According to the sources, Mistry favoured DK Shivakumar as the KPCC president after consulting 20 leaders. Siddaramaiah raised objections for this and wants consultation with at least 50 leaders.
AICC, which is not in a position to sideline Siddaramaiah in the state unit, has now decided to send another observer.
