Bengaluru: With the election around the corner, the Congress party has decided to go aggressive. In order to ‘expose’ the alleged misrule of the NDA-led Central government in the last five years, the party has decided to launch its own mouthpiece in the state. In line with the National Herald, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has decided to publish the Namma Congress tabloid starting from February. This tabloid will be published once in 15 days.

“The first issue of the tabloid will be released on February 6. The Congress state leadership has directed all the members of the party to buy the tabloid and give advertisements,” informed party sources.

“The idea behind launching the tabloid is to reach out to the common man with news about the party intervention for the development of the country and the failure of the Central government in implementing the developmental projects,” said a party leader.

“As per the original schedule, the first issue was supposed to be released on January 21. But due to the fear of Operation Kamala and later, the demise of the Siddaganga seer Shivakumara Swamiji it was decided to postpone the release date. As per the decision of the KPCC, the tabloid will hit the news stands on February 6,” he informed.
