Bengaluru: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has urged the election commission (EC) not to allow Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to campaign in Karnataka.
Speaking to reporters, KPCC campaign committee chairman H K Patil charged that CM Yogi is known for making provocative speeches and violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). “So, he should be barred from carrying out the campaign in the state,” he said.
“Yogi recently said that the Indian Army is the ‘Army of Modi’. He is politicising everything so, he should be stopped from entering the state,” he said.
He also expressed confidence that the Congress-JDS alliance will sweep in the state in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. “We are together and campaigning together. We will register a landslide win,” he said.
