Bengaluru: A cheque of Rs 9.17 Crores was handed over to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy by the Karnataka State Road Transportation Corporation (KSRTC) towards the Kodagu Flood Relief Fund, here on Thursday, May 9.
This amount was gathered by collecting one day’s salary from the staffs of all the four transport corporation-Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), Mysuru Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), North Eastern Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NEKRTC) and North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC).
State Transport Minister D C Thammanna, MLAs Shivalinge Gowda, Satyanarayana, KSRTC senior officials Basvaraj, Shivayogi Kalasada and N V Prasad were present.
Meanwhile, a cheque of Rs 17.81 Lakh from the KSRTC Credit Cooperative Society too was handed over to CM HDK.
