Bengaluru: In view of Ganesh Chaturthi festival, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has made elaborate arrangements for operating hundreds of extra buses in addition to the existing schedules to provide additional transport facility to the travelling public from August 23 to 27. Special buses will be operated from various places of intra & interstate services to Bengaluru starting today.
Special buses will be exclusively operated from Bengaluru Kempegowda Bus Station to Dharmastala, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubballi, Belagavi and Karwar.
Special buses from Mysuru Road satellite bus terminal will be exclusively operated towards Mysuru, Hunsur, Periyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalanagar and Madikeri routes.
All premiere special buses will be operated from Shanthinagar BMTC Bus Stand to Madurai, Trichy, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirupathi, Hyderabad and other places in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
Facility has been provided to book computerised reservation tickets in advance for the special buses.
Reserved passengers should note the place of boarding in their reservation ticket. Passengers can book tickets online by logging on to www.ksrtc.in.
Advance reservation of tickets for the special and scheduled buses of KSRTC can be booked through 115 counters in Bengaluru City and other 301 computerised reservation counters of KSRTC located at other places in Karnataka.
