K’taka: Amid grief over parent’s death, three students write board exam

Bengaluru: Three students, all from the North Karnataka region, wrote the SSLC examination on Wednesday March 30 amid the pain of losing their parents.

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) held English examination for students on Wednesday.

Chandrappa (46), the father of Madhu C., a Dudihalli Government High School student in Haveri District, died after a cardiac arrest on Wednesday. Amid grief, the family sent Madhu to write the examination at Hirekerur town.

Saraswathi Umesha Samshi (40), mother of JMJ High School Shiggavi student Umesha Samshi passed away on Tuesday. The local Block Education Officer (BEO) and team visited his house and ensured that he will appear for the examination on Wednesday.

Kallappa Menasinakai, a resident of Naragund town was died on Wednesday morning. His daughter Bhuvaneshwaru wrote the examination as the family ensured that she will not miss the examination.
