Bengaluru: Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has mocked Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa with the famous ‘Nikhil Yelliddiyappa’ jibe, but with a twist!
Talking about the passiveness of BSY in connection to the floods that have battered huge parts of Karnataka, HDK said, “You all have been trolling my son Nikhil with ‘Nikhil Yellidiyappa’ jibe, but now, when the state is reeling under worst floods and the CM is not visible anywhere near these places, you should troll him with- ‘Yediyurappa Yellidiyappa.”
“Many have called BSY as the pro-poor leader and have billed me off as ‘corrupt’. I was attacked for the transfer of officials. Is BSY not transferring the officials now?” he said pointing out that a Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) official who tried to bribe him for a transfer and he did not oblige has been transferred by BSY. “What conclusion do you draw out of this,” he questioned and added that he is well aware of the transfer process and what goes into these transfers.
