K’taka govt brings in ‘good conduct’ rules for govt employees

Bengaluru: The state government has proposed new good conduct rules for the government employees. One of the provisions mentioned in the draft rules is looking after their parents (father and mother) in a good way.

According to the draft rules for which general public can file objections within the next 15 days, a government employee shall not write for any media or own any media houses.

The government employees shall keep away from any kind of protests and affiliations to any political parties. Taking dowry is also banned. No child shall be used for domestic works.

Draft rules also ban acting in serials and films.

Interestingly, the draft rules silent on the social media activism or activities of the government employees.

Once these rules are approved, they will be notified in the state gazette.
