Bengaluru: The Government of Karnataka is considering opening up schools from the first week of July for the academic year 2020-21.
In this regard, the department of public instructions has ordered a survey to be conducted by gathering the opinions of parents, teachers, students, and school managements.
According to a report by DH, the survey will be conducted from June 10 to June 12 at all the block levels.
Reportedly, officials in all districts have been directed to conduct discussions with parents, teachers, students, and representatives of school managements and submit the results to the department of public instructions.
Primary Education Minister Suresh Kumar said that consultations will be conducted at school levels and that they will be reopened in a phased manner.
It can be recalled that the Ministry of Home Affairs had announced that schools and other educational institutions would be opened in phase two of the lockdown relaxation.
Under phase one, shopping malls, religious places and hotels will open from June 8.
