Bengaluru: Despite reports of a shortage, Karnataka will receive two additional rakes of coal from Singareni mines. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that he had discussed the matter with the Union Coal Minister.
“The State received eight rakes of coal last week and this has increased to ten after I spoke with the Union Coal Minister,” said CM Bommai. In assessing the State’s electricity situation, he stated that the government will ensure that there are no power outages.
Furthermore, he also stated that 21 people have died as a result of the rains that have destroyed several parts of the State this month, and officials have been asked to compensate the victims’ families.
