K’taka witnesses two COVID deaths, six new cases

Bengaluru: The state witnessed two deaths on Sunday, taking the death tolls to 16. The state also recorded six new cases, taking the total to 390.

 

The two fatalities include, one from Bantwal of Dakshina Kannada district and one from Bengaluru Urban.

The Bantwal death happens to be the first COVID death in Dakshina Kannada district.

The 50-year-old lady was admitted to hospital on Saturday due to difficulty in breathing. She died on Sunday afternoon, even before her COVID-19 tests results were out.

The other victim is a 65-year-old lady from Bengaluru Urban and she too had respiratory issues when she was brought to the hospital.

Out of the six new cases in the state, four are from Mysuru. The remaining two cases are from Dakshina Kannada, including one from Bantwal (the case of the deceased lady).

The other case is from Uppinangady and the patient is the wife of the Uppinangady man who was tested positive recently.
