Bengaluru: Kannada superstar late Dr Raj Kumar’s 91st birth anniversary is celebrated across the state today. The main event is set to be held at 5 pm at Ravindra Kalakshetra today, which is organised by the Department of Information and Public Relations and Karnataka Cinema Academy.
According to the authorities, all the three sons of actor Raj Kumar- Shiva Rajkumar, Raghavendra Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar will participate in the event. This programme is designed by Kannada director Yogaraj Bhat.
Meanwhile, as part of the anniversary celebrations, Dr Raj’s memorial in Kanteerava Studios of the city is decorated and thousands of fans are expected to visit the memorial to pay their respects to the legendary actor.
Special events are organised across the state to mark the birth anniversary of Dr Raj. His fan associations are organising events including blood donation camps, eye donation drives etc.
