Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam dies at 74

Bengaluru: Legendary singer S P Balasubrahmanyam died in a Chennai hospital after almost two months of treatment. He was 74.

He was tested positive for COVID-19 and was under treatment when his health started deteriorating.

Though he was tested negative later, be could not be taken off the ventilator due to various other complications.

On Thursday, MGM Healthcare issued a health bulletin and informed that the legendary singer’s health condition gas worsened over the last 24 hours and that he is on maximum life support.

S P Balasubrahmanyam’s son S P Charan has been sharing health updates about his father on social media too and he remained optimistic.

SPB was “eager to leave the hospital as early as possible,” S P Charan wrote.
