Bengaluru: In preparation for the BJP legislature party meeting in Bengaluru, two MLAs, Basanagouda Patil Yatnal and Ramesh Jarkiholi, departed from the party. Ramesh Jarkiholi aligned with Yatnal, leaving the meeting once the high command’s position became evident.

Previously, MLA Yatnal had ended his silence in the presence of the observers delivering the high command’s message. Yatnal had conveyed dissatisfaction regarding Vijayendra’s selection as the state president.

The BJP must not be limited to a single family, and the high command should resist succumbing to blackmail tactics. Central leaders should refrain from making decisions based on the opinions of a select few followers. I will not compromise under any circumstances; it’s not something I can afford. The leader of the opposition should be chosen from the people of North Karnataka. If the opposition post is not allocated to North Karnataka, the decision will be left to the people.
