Bengaluru: The Public Works Department (PWD) minister H D Revanna warned of serious consequences if the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundurao fails to “mind his language” and keep his tongue under control. This statement by the minister has resulted in another round of war of words between the coalition partners.
It all started with Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy separating the harbour department from the inland transport department headed by Congress minister R B Thimmapur. Irked by this, Thimmapur and Dinesh Gundu Rao warned that they will raise the issue with the party high command as a section of the JDS leaders don’t know how to manage a coalition government.
Reacting sharply to the statement, Revanna warned Dinesh against making such statements which may have an adverse effect on the government. “H D Deve Gowda and H D Kumaraswamy are senior to a majority of the Congress leaders. Let Dinesh control his tongue,” he stated.
