Bengaluru: A live-in partner of a Kannada actress lodged a complaint with the cyber police alleging blackmailing by her. The cyber police registered an FIR in this regard.
According to the police, the live-in partner originally had approached the Subramanya Nagar police alleging blackmailing by the cine actress who acted in several Kannada movies. He had alleged that she had collected his passwords to various social media pages and was chatting in his name. “Now she has stored the chat records and has been blackmailing him,” he alleged in his complaint.
He also alleged that she is using his private pictures to demand money and also tarnish his name. “As he is from an elite family he was worried about family’s reputation. So he sought police help,” said police.
Police seized the smart phone of the actress and sent it for an investigation. Police also launched an investigation into the persons who may have supported her.
