Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has said that there are no plans of extending the lockdown any further in Bengaluru.
Holding a meeting with the in-charges of the eight zones of Bengaluru, the CM, on Friday said that lockdown cannot be the solution for combating the pandemic.
The statement of the CM becomes important because there are reports that the lockdown will be extended by another 15 days in Bengaluru.
The CM said that the recruitment process is on to tackle the problem of shortage of doctors in the hospitals and steps are being taken to increasing the number of testings.
“Volunteers will be identified in every ward and amblances will be deputed in every ward for COVID-19 duty,” he said.
