Bengaluru: The second wave of corona has begun in the state and people need to be aware of it, said Dr. Manjunath, head of Jayadeva Hospital in the city. He also said that lockdown is not ultimate solution for controlling it and also it is not necessary.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the newly opened Cardiology Center at St Martha’s Hospital in Bengaluru. He said that early last year, lockdown was called in as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus. “It has now been a year and a half, and it will continue for six more months, so that people have to follow safety measures, he said.
He advised everyone to take the coronavirus vaccine and said that infection would not be severe if the vaccine was taken.
We can prevent the spread of the disease if people avoid gathering in crowded places and continue to wear mask and maintain social distancing, he said.
