Bengaluru: The logo for the city’s famed international film festival- Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFES) was unveiled by the Chief Minister, BS Yediyurappa.
The film festival will begin on March 24 and will last for 8 days this time. Due to the pandemic, the festival was pushed to March while usually the festival is hosted earlier. The 12th edition of the BIFFES began on February 27 last year.
This year, BIFFES will screen over 220 films on 14 screens in 4 locations. There will be movies from 60 different countries as well as a celebration of regional films and talents.
During the film festival, there will also be several sessions, seminars, workshops, masterclasses etc on film making and film appreciation.
Chairman of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy hinted that BIFFES might receive international accreditation for the festival.
