Bengaluru: In a gruesome incident, Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Vishwanath Shetty has been stabbed at Lokayukta premises on March 7.
The police have identified the accused as Tejraj Sharma. “The accused allegedly stabbed Justice Shetty thrice. His condition is critical and has been shifted to Mallya Hospital for treatment,’’ said a police officer, MS Building Police Station.
According to the police, the incident took place at 1.50 pm.
“The accused Tejraj Sharma accompanied was by four to five members. The probe is on’’ the police said.
Reacting to the horrific incident, JD(S) state president H.D. Kumaraswamy blamed the government for lack of the security at the Lokayukta Office. “What is the meaning of this attack? Here is no security for even Lokayukta,’’ Kumaraswamy said.
