Bengaluru: BSP MLA N Mahesh has flipped his decision and will extend his support to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s government when the confidence motion is taken up for voting on Monday, July 22 evening. This comes as a big relief to the already shaky coalition government.
He had, on Sunday, said that he would not participate in the trust vote and remain neutral.
BSP national president Mayawati tweeted the party’s decision in this regard.
“BSP national president Mayawati has directed the BSP MLA in Karnataka to vote in favour of CM Kumaraswamy’s government,” a tweet on her Twitter wall read.
N Mahesh is an MLA from the Kollegal Assembly constituency. He is the lone BSP MLA in the state.
It can be recalled that the JDS and BSP entered into a pre-poll alliance ahead of the 2018 state Assembly elections.
