Bengaluru police have reported a shocking murder case involving a 27-year-old woman, Anitha, who was allegedly killed by her husband, Babu, in their home near Attibele on Monday night.
According to initial investigations, Babu, a musician, attacked Anitha with a wooden log, leading to her fatal injuries. Authorities revealed that Babu was married to two women, Anitha and Sushmitha, who were friends before marriage. He tied the knot with both on the same day and had two children with each. All members of the unusual family lived under one roof.
Trouble began when Anitha reportedly got involved with another man and eventually ran away. Babu, upon filing a missing-person report, tracked her down and brought her back home. However, Anitha remained determined to reunite with her lover, leading to frequent domestic disputes.
On Monday night, another heated argument erupted between the couple. When Anitha expressed her wish to leave, Babu, in a fit of rage, broke her leg and struck her head and face with a wooden log, causing her instant death.
Sushmitha, who tried to intervene, was also assaulted. Hearing screams, concerned neighbors contacted the police, leading to Babu’s arrest.
