Bengaluru: Eight persons were injured in a explosion caused by leaking LPG in a private gas agency at Kadirenahalli on Sunday evening in Kumaraswamy Layout police limits.
According to S.D. Sharanappa, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), the neighbourhood, which mostly has small shops, was evacuated and cordoned off. “There was heavy smell of gas in the area; so as a precautionary measure, the people were evacuated. Apart from the injury to eight people, there was no other damage. It was a flash explosion,” he said.
The injured were taken to Sagar Hospital and then shifted to Victoria Hospital, according to a police official from the Kumaraswamy Layout station.
