Bengaluru: Former minister, Babaleshwara MLA M B Patil, who is miffed after missing the cabinet berth, met All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi, on Saturday and had a very crucial discussion.
Speaking to the media persons later, M B Patil said, “The interaction was held between four walls and I have described everything to Rahul Gandhi. The separate Lingayat religion struggle was not the reason to miss the cabinet berth. I didn’t demand anything. I am not in touch with the BJP. I am a true Congressman.”
Meanwhile, regarding M B Patil’s meeting with Rahul Gandhi, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara said that he has no idea whether Rahul Gandhi himself called Patil or Patil wished to meet Rahul Gandhi. Nobody was ready to disclose about the matter discussed between the two.
