Bengaluru: After leaving the JD(S) former chief minister Sarekoppa Bangarappa’s son Madhu Bangarappa, who was a former MLA and state working president of the JD(S), has finally made up his mind and joined the Congress party on Thursday.
Madhu Bangarappa, who met with the former chief minister and Congress party’s state Assembly Opposition leader Siddaramaiah, said that he joined the Congress party because it provided him with a lot of opportunities to work and express his views.
In the 2018 assembly elections, Madhu Bangarappa was defeated by his brother Kumara Bangarappa (BJP) in the Soraba constituency.
When asked why he left the JD(S), Madhu Bangarappa said he had told JD(S) chief H D Kumaraswamy about his problems many times. “I’m not going to talk about it right now,” he said.
“All my supporters had taken the decision. I am joining the Congress today,” he said. He claimed that he can do more good work in Congress.
