Bengaluru: The lead actress of a television series was killed in a tragic road accident late Wednesday night that also claimed the life of one other person and injured six more.
Rachana (23) who played the lead role in Mahanadi episode telecast in Zee Kannada is the deceased. Co-actor Jeevan(25) is the other deceased.
As per reports, the accident occurred at Solur, near Nelamangala, when the a Tata Safari vehicle in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary container on the Bangalore-Mangalore route. The troupe, it is learnt were on their way to visit Kukke Subramanya temple.
The injured, BS Ranjit, Uttam, Honnesh, Karthik, Vatican and Eric are being treated at a private hospital in Nelamangala.
The dead bodies have been sent to Nelamangala Government Hospital.
A case has been registered in Kudur police station in Magadi.
