Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has made major changes with regard to the post of the district in-charge ministers. Interestingly, three ministers who came to the BJP after severing bonds with the Congress failed to get any districts.
Major irrigation minister Ramesh Jarakiholi, minister for food and civil supplies Gopalaiah and textile minister Shrimantha Patil have not been allotted any districts.
Forest minister Anand Singh has been appointed as the district in-charge minister of Ballari.
Urban Development minister Bhairati Basavaraju has been appointed as the district in-charge minister of Davanagere.
Housing minister V Somanna lost the district in-charge minister post of Mysuru. Instead, cooperative minister ST Somasekhar has been appointed as the new district in-charge minister.
Agriculture minister BC Patil got Koppalla district in-charge minister’s post.
Labour minister Shivaram Hebbar has been appointed as the district in-charge minister of Uttara Kannada.
Horticulture minister KC Narayana Gowda (Mandya), and medical education minister Dr K Sudhakar has been appointed as the district in-charge minister of Chikkaballapura district.
