Bengaluru: Tragedy struck in Anekal taluk on Sunday afternoon when a fatal road accident near Bommasandra claimed the life of a two-wheeler rider and left his wife and child injured. The victim, identified as Prakash (35) from Tamil Nadu, was riding his bike with his wife Mahadevi when their trip to a temple in Rayakote turned into a nightmare.

Prakash, who ran a mobile shop in Palya, had taken his family along for the temple visit. However, their journey was cut short when they collided with a lorry near the Royal Enfield showroom in Bommasandra. Tragically, Prakash lost his life on the spot due to the impact of the accident.

The severity of the accident also resulted in both of Mahadevi’s legs being severed. Their young child, Akul, sustained minor injuries and was left traumatized by witnessing the tragic events unfold.

Following the incident, emergency services rushed to assist those involved. Both Mahadevi and her son were immediately admitted to Narayana Health Care Hospital for urgent medical care. Meanwhile, local law enforcement authorities at Hebbagodi Police Station have initiated an investigation into the devastating incident by registering a case.

The lorry driver responsible for the tragedy fled the scene; however, Hebbagodi police are working to locate and apprehend the individual. The search is ongoing as authorities seek answers regarding this tragic occurrence, which resulted in the loss of life and severe injuries to a family who were simply out on a routine outing.
