Bengaluru: It seems there is no end to the crisis between the JDS and the Congress Mandya district units. On Tuesday night, KPCC Dinesh Gundurao’s effort to bring CM HD Kumaraswamy and Mandya Congress leaders together failed to yield any results.
According to the sources, Congress leaders from Mandya assured Dinesh Gundurao that they will join the campaign of Nikhil Kumaraswamy once CM HD Kumaraswamy invites them. With this assurance, Dinesh met HDK. “But CM HDK declined to accept the offer,” said a Congress leader.
“CM HDK told Dinesh Gundurao that he will never invite Mandya Congress leaders to campaign for his son,” he said.
According to the sources, Dinesh Gundurao also took assurance from his party leaders that they need to meet HDK. “But the CM refused even to invite them for a talk,” he added.
With this, the confusion between the alliance parties is expected to continue in Mandya.
