Mangaluru cooker blast, over 1,000+ page chargesheet

Bengaluru: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is preparing to file a chargesheet against four individuals, including Shariq, in relation to the Cooker bomb blast incident in Mangaluru on November 19 of the previous year.

The NIA has documented statements from the primary accused, including Shariq, Majmuneer, Yaseen, and Arafat, in the chargesheet. The document details the planning of the blast, the location of the explosion, and provides information about those involved in the incident.

As per the chargesheet, Shariq is implicated in the Kadri Temple blasts. The document outlines details about the training location, the team members involved, and Shariq’s subsequent responsibility for the blasts at Udupi Krishna Math and Chikkamagaluru BJP offices following the Kadri Temple explosion. The chargesheet also notes plans to target certain mutts for detonation and specifies that Shariq underwent continuous training for a duration of six months. Additionally, the accused have made startling disclosures about their foreign handlers.

Substantial funds were being sent from overseas for the acquisition of explosives. Utilizing these funds, the accused procured the necessary materials for the explosives. The chargesheet further indicates that the Bhatkal gang had strategized to establish a network, encompassing details of both the accounts receiving money from abroad and the accounts to which the funds were transferred.
