Bengaluru: Citing poor health, former MLC M.D. Lakshminarayan resigned from the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) OBC cell chief post.
He submitted his resignation letter to KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar.
Lakshminarayan is considered as the close aide of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
In his letter to D.K. Shivakumar, Lakshminarayan informed that he is submitting resignation due to Covid – 19 as he cannot travel across the state to organise the party.
Lakshminarayan quit BJP and joined Congress four years ago. He is serving as the OBC cell chief for the last three and half years. He is from influential weavers’ community.
