Bengaluru: Karnataka Medical Education Minister Dr K. Sudhakar’s father and a domestic help have tested positive for the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) on Monday.

“My father’s Covid test has come out positive. Anxiously waiting for reports of other family members. Praying for the speedy recovery of my father,” said Dr Sudhakar.

Earlier on Monday, the Minister said his 82-year-old father has been admitted to a hospital after he complained of fever and cough.

“He has undergone Covid test as well. We anxiously await results. Need your prayers and blessing,” he said in a tweet before the result came back positive for the disease.

Similarly, another individual who works as a helper in Sudhakar’s home also tested positive for the virus.

“The man who was working as a helper in our house was also diagnosed with Coronavirus and is being treated at a hospital. Please pray for them to be healed soon,” added Dr Sudhakar.
