Bengaluru: Minister for Bengaluru Development, K J George on Saturday held a review meeting with regard to various ongoing development works under different schemes in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) limits including Nagarothana.
The minister laid stress on filling up of potholes due to heavy rains in the city and also instructed officials to take up desilting of drains. He suggested them to take photographs of the spot prior to the commencement of work and after completion of work. He agreed to a suggestion by Mayor Shri R Sampath Raj and directed the BBMP Commissioner Shri Manjunath Prasad to ensure that Assistant Executive Engineers and Assistant Engineers attended ward offices everyday early in the morning to deploy BBMP workers and other workers for scheduled work.
George has instructed the Commissioner to complete all ongoing works by December-January, BBMP Commissioner informed the minister that the road history live data related to roads in the city and ongoing works taken up by BBMP under various schemes have been uploaded on the website bbmp.gov.in for public view.
Public can also view details regarding BBMP, Health wing, Revenue wing, Indira Canteens and Encroachment details. ‘Python’ machine would be pressed into service to fill up potholes covering 300 km on scientific basis.
Besides the Mayor and the BBMP Commissioner, Deputy Mayor Smt. G Padmavathi Narasimhamurthy and other senior officials were also present.
