Bengaluru: Gulbarga North MLA Kaneez Fatima was seen wearing a hijab on the first day of the Legislature’s Joint session on Monday February 14.
Fatima had recently slammed at those who were trying to restrict students in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and other districts of Karnataka from wearing the hijab (headscarf). She had also dared the public to prevent her from wearing a hijab to the State legislature.
Fatima wore a hijab to the proceedings, as she had vowed. She had also worn a hijab during previous sessions of the State legislature.
