Bengaluru: Yesvantpur MLA and newly appointed chairman of the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) S T Somashekhar has apologised for his anti-CM HDK and Deve Gowda family comments. His statement had a created a political crisis between ruling Janata Dal (S) and Congress parties.
On Sunday, January 27, participating in a Kuruba (Shepherd) community event, he had stated that a few leaders use all the opportunities to make their relatives, children and grandchildren ministers, chief minister, MP, MLA etc. He also alleged that his constituency was neglected by the present government.
As this statement created uproar in the state politics, S T Somashekhar apologised.
“I have never intended to hurt the CM or JDS leaders. I was just explaining the truth,” he stated.
