Bengaluru: Vijayapura MLA Former Union Minister Basanagouda Patil Yatnal urged the State Government to withdraw the restrictions imposed on Ganesha Chaturthi celebrations. He made it clear that he will not allow any restrictions during the celebrations.
“Even if you fire at me, I don’t care. I will martyr for the cause of Ganesha Chaturthi celebrations,” he stressed.
This year Ganesha chathurthi is being celebrated on September 10 across the country.
“If the celebrations are restricted, the entire state will witness unrest. So, the government must withdraw its order,” he said.
He also informed that weekend curfew is unscientific. “The government should follow scientific ways to contain the virus spread,” he said.
