Bengaluru: Mohammed Haris Nalapad has been elected President of the Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (KPYCC) on Monday January 31. He has replaced Raksha Ramaiah. He inaugurated his office with Hindu, Muslim, and Christian rituals.
Speaking to mediapersons he said a formal event marking the start of his tenure as KPYCC president will be held on February 10 at the Congress’ office. “Instead of starting on February 1, I requested Raksha Ramaiah and assumed office today,” he stated.
N. A. Haris, Mohammed’s father and Shantinagar MLA, said he would be delighted if his son could attract more young people into the Congress and strengthen the party. “There should be no groupism. I am confident in Nalapad’s ability to accomplish this,” he stated.
