Monsoon likely to enter K’taka by June 2: IMD

Bengaluru: The monsoon, which entered in Kerala on Sunday May 29 is likely to arrive in Karnataka on June 2nd, with heavy rainfall expected along the coast and in the state’s south interior.

A yellow alert has been issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for ten districts, including Bengaluru.

“Heavy rainfall measuring up to 7mm may lash Uttara Kannada, Coastal districts, Bengaluru Urban, Hassan, Shivamogga, Ramanagara, Kodagu and Chikkamagaluru,” informed IMD.
