Bengaluru: Following the death of his mother Parvathamma Rajkumar, her son and leading Kannada film star Shivarajkumar has decided not to celebrate his 55th birthday on a grand scale this year.
Instead the cine star accompanied by “Tagaru” film team donated Rs 1 Lakh to the Police Welfare Fund. Shivarajkumar is acting in the movie Tagaru with its script linked to police department.
Shivarajkumar accompanied by “Tagaru” film director Suri and producer K P Srikanth handed overa cheque of Rs 1 Lakh to ADGP Bhaskar Rao in Bengaluru.
Incidentally, the actor turns 55 on July 12 whereas his mother, a leading film producer and wife of thespian Rajkumar breathed her last at a private hospital on May 31, this year.
