Bengaluru: The trial of a bail plea trial of Mohommed Nalapad has been postponed to May 28 by the 62nd sessions court.

Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) M S Shyamsundar strongly objected to granting bail to the accused Mohammed Nalapad, son of Shanti Nagar MLA Harris. “Nalapad conducted a heinous crime and if he comes out of jail, he may destroy the proofs,” he said.

Nalapad had brutally assaulted Vidwath, son of businessman Loknath in a restaurant. Soon after this, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths charge sheeted him.

Earlier, Sessions Court and High Courts have cancelled the bail applications. The CCB police, who completed the investigation, submitted a charge sheet of 600 pages to the court. A case was registered at Cubbon Park police station following the assault incident at Farzi Cafe in U B City on February 17.
