Bengaluru: The delay in the release of flood relief to Karnataka and a subsequent tweet by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Bihar floods has irked former CM of Karnataka Siddaramaiah.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Siddaramaiah has questioned why the 56 inches chested PM seems to be stone-hearted when it comes to Karnataka.
“The 56-inch chest of PM could feel the pain of the people of Bihar, then why does it turn stone-hearted for Karnataka. Is it the reason that 25 MPs have been sent from Karnataka or is it dislike towards CM BSY?” the tweet by the former CM read.
“Spoke to Bihar CM @NitishKumar Ji regarding the flood situation in parts of the state. Agencies are working with the local administration to assist the affected. Centre stands ready to provide all possible further assistance that may be required,” tweet PM Narendra Modi on September 30. Former CM Siddaramaiah’s response came immediately after this tweet.
In another tweet, Siddaramaiah said: “More than 60 days since parts Karnataka suffered from floods. No shelter, nothing to eat, cattle dying, crops lost – but the response from @narendramodi is missing.
