In a move to streamline property documentation and resolve long-pending issues, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is set to roll out the ‘Nanna E-Khata’ drive across the city every Saturday.
The initiative aims to address grievances related to e-Khata registration, corrections, and pending applications through a structured, citizen-focused approach.
Pre-screened applications for faster resolution
According to officials, around 100 citizens will be invited in advance to each centre every week. Their applications will be pre-screened to ensure that only complete and eligible cases are taken up during the drive.
This system is expected to significantly reduce waiting times and improve efficiency in resolving property-related issues.
Dedicated revenue team at each centre
The BBMP revenue team will be present at designated centres to handle cases on the spot. By bringing officials and applicants together in a single-window setup, authorities aim to minimise delays and eliminate the need for repeated visits.
The drive is being conducted under the guidance of the Deputy Chief Minister, with a focus on improving transparency and service delivery.
Addressing long-standing property concerns
Many property owners in Bengaluru have faced challenges with e-Khata processes, including delays, documentation errors, and lack of clarity. The ‘Nanna E-Khata’ initiative is designed to clear such bottlenecks and ensure smoother property transactions.
Citizen-friendly governance push
The weekly format of the drive reflects a broader effort to make civic services more accessible and responsive. Officials believe that regular engagement with citizens will help build trust and improve overall administrative efficiency.
With property documentation being crucial for ownership and transactions, the initiative is expected to benefit a large number of residents across Bengaluru#BBMP #NannaEKhata #Bengaluru #PropertyIssues #CivicServices #UrbanGovernance #newskarnataka
