Bengaluru: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested four foreign nationals for cocaine trafficking in Bengaluru.

Irene Omoibe, a 26-year-old Nigerian woman was arrested on Thursday, January 17, while she was travelling from Mumbai to Bengaluru by an SRS Travels interstate passenger bus. She was arrested based on a tip-off and 400 grams of cocaine was found in her possession.

The cocaine was found wrapped in brown duct tape, according to the pictures released by the NCB.

During interrogation by the NCB officials, it was learnt that there is a network of cocaine trafficking in the city, as Omoibe revealed that she had to deliver the cocaine to other members of her gang. She also revealed the location of the people she was delivering the cocaine to.

The NCB then tracked down two Nigerians and one Sudanese man who were all waiting for Omoibe in a car in Kammanahalli on Friday, January 18.

The arrested are Nwanoro Chigbo Victor, Kenneth Jideofol and Antwan Faisal Mohammed.

The officials suspect Victor to be the kingpin of the smuggling operation. Jideofol is a repeat offender and is involved in four other Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) cases and was out on bail.

According to officials, the cocaine was given to the woman by few foreigners in Mumbai but officials are yet to track them down.
