Bengaluru: Aimed at formulating a new policy on AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming & Comics), the State Government will at the earliest constitute a committee, said Minister for IT/BT Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan said on Thursday April 28.
Narayan said, “Keeping in mind the tremendous growth of the AVGC sector, animation and gaming courses have been included in the Diploma curriculum. Also Engineering curriculum also has been updated to suit the industry demands.”
Minister also added how the National Education Policy (NEP) stresses on imparting knowledge on relevant and new streams such as AVGC in order to augment economic opportunities for youth.
