Bengaluru: PES University Chancellor M R Doreswamy has warned that he will move the court of law if the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) does not rectify the mistakes in the recently announced National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).

It can be recalled that in the NIRF ranking, the PES university was awarded a ranking of 149 at the national level.

Speaking to reporters, Doreswamy informed that since 2016, the PES University has consistently secured above the 100th rank at the national level. “But this year, the University plunged below the 100th rank due to the false analysis of data provided to the MHRD. We have told the authorities to rectify the mistake or we will take them to the court,” he warned.

The NIRF ranking is released by the MHRD every year to make known to the stakeholders, including the students, the quality of education and other facilities available at the various educational institutions across the country.
