Bengaluru: Duniya Vijay is in the soup after a brawl with a gym trainer. The actor had reportedly bashed up Maruti Gowda, a fitness trainer recently.
After the ugly fisticuff, the actor and three others were arrested, but Panipuri Kitti, Gowda’s uncle has said that there is no backing out from a legal battle.
Speaking to reporters, Kitti said that come what may, they will not let Duniya Vijay get off this case so easily, not even if he tenders an apology.
“I am also taking this issue up with the Film Chamber and I will accept whatever the Chamber has to say,” he said.
Refuting the claims that he and Vijay share a hostile relationship with each other and hence Maruti got dragged into the same, Kitti said that his equation with Vijay is cordial and hence attack Maruti was unacceptable.
“Actors must be role models to all,” he said adding that the victim’s condition is pathetic and he does not seem to be getting better.
“At least 14 sutures have been put on his lips. He is unable to consume food,” he said adding that he will be meeting the DCM soon.
Meanwhile, the court has kept the decision on the interim bail plea mooted by Duniya Vijay for September 26. The 8th ACMM Court remanded Vijay and three others accused in the case to judicial custody for 14 days.
