Bengaluru: The BSY government at the state has issued norms for the celebration of Eid and as per sources, this will be the standard guidelines for all the festivals lining up this season.

As per the norms, senior citizens and children have been asked not to take part in the mass community prayers at the mosques.

Further, batches of 50 faithful have been allowed to take part in the mass prayers at the mosques. This decision has been made keeping in mind social distancing and it is the responsibility of the mosque administration to make sure this rule is implemented strictly.

The faithful have been asked no to hug or shake hands to greet one another. Compulsory scanning at the mosques, wearing of mask even while offering the prayers are some of the other norms specified by the government.

It may be recalled that this is the first festival after the Corona pandemic, where the government has allowed mass prayers at the religious centres.

The Eid-Al-Adha will be celebrated this year from July 30 to July 31.
