Bengaluru: Following reports that Infosys Founder, N R Narayanamurthy would be made Chief of Karnataka Planning Board, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has clarified that there is no intention of giving any official post to the technocrat. He stated that Narayanamurthy would only be giving advice to the government on various issues.
“Narayanamurthy has happily agreed to my request. But, he denied taking any responsibility due to his age. There was no proposal from the side of the government as well,” he said. It is merely a rumour that Narayanamurthy will be given a government posting. Anybody can give suggestions to the government for the development of Bengaluru, he added.
“The experts’ committee formed by the government in the past, for the development of Bengaluru, has been cancelled. We are ready to receive any suggestions and advice which are pro-poor,” the CM clarified.
